Thanks to Julia , Jason for their help on Whidbey. I am puzzled nw by Scott Guthrie comment:
This was a bug in the original alpha bits from this summer (the PDC alpha refresh had it fixed). Here is a forums thread with more details: http://www.asp.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?tabindex=1&PostID=396111
Does it means that the version MSDN subscribers received is not the PDC version ? Strange ! The version I have is 8.0.30703.27 (m2.030828-2105) for the MDE and for .Net 1.2 1.2.30703.
Scott can you be kind to clarify ;-)
Anyway the trick posted by Jason works very well
And if you can use Virtual PC to install Whidbey. Especially if you do this on a machine already with VS 2003, so that you are sure that no files are mixed-up.
UPDATE : a last thing, Scott, I know we are talking about Alpha, but is the .Net team has alreday a place to report comments and hummm....bugs.
