I am puzzled nw by Scott Guthrie comment:

Does it means that the version MSDN subscribers received is not the PDC version ?

Strange ! The version I have is 8.0.30703.27 (m2.030828-2105) for the MDE
and for .Net 1.2 1.2.30703.

Scott can you be kind to clarify ;-)

Anyway the trick posted by Jason works very well

And if you can use Virtual PC to install Whidbey. Especially if you do this on a machine already with VS 2003, so that you are sure that no files are mixed-up.

UPDATE: a last thing, Scott, I know we are talking about Alpha, but is the .Net team has alreday a place to report comments and hummm....bugs.
