It had to happen sooner or later. A Microsoft contractor was fired for this blog entry on his personal blog. Microsoft said that he was being fired, not for showing Macs on the Redmond campus, but for divulging certain information about the company and where he worked. In today's world, if a company wants to get rid of you they can find many ways to do it. Late last year I had to tell my employer about a medical condition that was going to require some short term disability (not permanent). How convenient was it that a month later, I was laid off in a cost-cutting measure - without any legal recourse. My advice to people now is that you cannot stay loyal to a company (as it was in the 70's-80's), because they sure don't give a crock about you.
