Well this is my first post to my new, completely devoid of readers, independent web log. I have been blogging for the last 11 months over at my old blog on weblogs.asp.net, but I felt like it was finally time to move my blog to it's own server. This will give me more freedom as to what I can post about, I was always very conscious of what I was putting out on the main feed over there, but here I don't have to worry about that.

So what can you expect from me on this blog? I am going to continue writing .NET Nightly posts, which are collections of .NET related links, but I am also going to try and mix in some more personal posts as well as some more technical posts. (especially as I get more into Longhorn)

I have also finally put together a small website with links to my books and articles, which you can find at http://www.dotavery.com, I tried to go with the most simple design possible. I put the site together over one weekend, it is only a couple XML files, a couple objects to read from the files, and a single page which uses the objects. The pictures are all randomly loaded by an ad rotator control and are all pictures that I have taken at some point or another.

Hope you enjoy the new blog, and thank again to Scott W. for this awesome blogging engine.
