I'm a little late to this discussion, but Scoble's comments on RSS directed to Harvard were provocative and I wanted to comment.  Although I don't think his comments were very well received (perhaps with good reason), I think Scoble has a great point that is being missed.  There seems to be no emphasis on continuing the evolution of RSS, and to me that doesn't make sense.  That's what Scoble thinks (we've discussed this in person) and I'm sure that there are others who agree.  I'm not saying that Scoble's recommendations are the "right" ones, but definitely something should be done to spur some movement in the parts of the community that continue to support embracing and extending RSS.  A little "fire and motion" might not be a bad idea in this case.  What does Harvard have to do with all of this?  Well, supposedly they're the ones (Berkman Law Center) that need to be convinced to move on this.  I'll be curious to see if there is any response in the near future.
