After my recent rant about the quality of the quick start that accompanies the caching application block, I was contacted by Ron Jacobs - the Product Manager of the Platform Architecture Guidance group. Ron's in charge of all the application blocks, and the CAB specifically. Ron's comments can be found here.

In the presentation I made to the VB.NET user group on wednesday, I came up with a solid piece of code. Code that illustrates proper design decisions. Code that shows some basic SOA. You can download it HERE.

I'll be also passing it along to Ron, as per his request, as well as putting it online at the GotDotNet workspace.
