Todd Kitta states that "if anything does ever wipe out email, I definitely don't think it will be RSS or Atom. These technologies solve (albeit sometimes similar) but different problems. I am not going to send a love note to my wife or vacation pictures to my aunt in Michigan via RSS."  I think Todd's off track here.  I agree that e-mail won't be wiped out by syndication technologies, but my question is why wouldn't you communicate with your wife or share pictures with a relative using an application with syndication capabilities?  Would you post the pictures that you'd share on a web site (maybe one secured for your family and friends to access)?  Even better, would you write a note and post it on the refrigerator for your wife to see?  To me, RSS is a natural way to share this kind of information and should be looked at more closely by many potential users like Todd.
