This is really cool, just at the minute Microsoft invite Irish developers for a presentation of Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 (seems to be the definitive name)
My only hope is that this time they will give us some more interesting freebies, some beta for examples :-)
I say this because last time we just had a ... Kit-Kat LOL !

Session 1, Paul Hand, MicrosoftIreland
SQL Server 2005 ("Yukon") has some great features for developers with full support for the storage of XML as a first class data type. This makes SQL the database for the SOA designs of the future. Come learn about a unified UI for creating DB’s, running queries, and analyzing performance, as well as the integration of the CLR into SQL that allows you to write managed code in the DB!
In the second half of this hour we will look at SQL Server Reporting Services and how you can use it to easily create powerful reports.

Session 2, Roy Wilson, MicrosoftIreland
Visual Studio 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 ("Whidbey") are the next releases of Microsoft’s tools and Web platform. Roy will discuss them both, with demonstrations showing great new capabilities such as local IIS for displaying web pages without the need for a full deploy to IIS and some of the new RAD tools available in Visual Studio 2005 to help you cut code even faster.
