The SkyOS team have ported DotGNU to run in SkyOS. SkyOS in an alternative OS initially built by a single developer as a hobby OS. Version 5 of the OS is planned to be released commercially. DotGNU is an open source implementation of the .Net framework similar to the more popular Mono implementation.

This is good news for SkyOS because this potentially enables the large pool of .Net developers to be able to develop for it. Porting applications in .Net will also be easier. Would be nice if they have RSS Bandit running on this. :-)

I would like to check out the OS but it seems that I have to pay to get access to the beta program!! Although the OS looks very impressive I will pass on the paid beta testing. [osnews]
