At the moment a few things come to mind. Russia and Bulgaria out, Czech Republic through - after stage 2.

There has been too much hype put on Wayne Rooney (hope he can cope for the next game), Owen should be left out the starting 11.
Czech Republic are strong, really strong.
Discipline is an issue, spitting at players should not be tolerated, perhaps a tournament ban was in order.

Referees have come to the forefront for me and so too Uea decision making. Uefa should not have insisted on a better discipline record, it has made the referees nervous. Just look at the amount of penalties that have not been awarded. As usual just with the off-side rule debate, changing the way you do things at the last minute tends to back-fire.

Hooligans should serve their terms, fully. Embarrasing and disgraceful.


My predictions, Greece go through with Spain and the hosts sit out.

England will perform and move through. Czechs will beat Germany and it will be up to Holland to go through. I think they will beat Latvia convincingly to move on.
