I was up in Michigan seeing some family, they had a party for us celebrating our recent wedding, and my wife had the great idea to go see this movie while up there. It seemed fitting since Flint, Michigan (Moore's home town) is so close to Ann Arbor, and if you have ever been to Ann Arbor you know that it is one of the most liberal cities in America.
We went and saw the film at the Michigan theater which is a huge old theater, we bought our tickets early, and when we showed up to get in there was a line out the door and all the way down the street of people waiting to get into the show. There was a guy walking around with a "Free Palenstine" board strapped to his chest and another trying to collect signatures to get a socialist candidate on the ballet. A number of others were handing out flyers and talking to people waiting to get into the theater.
When we got into the theater it was packed with people, and I doubt there was a republican in the entire crowd. I thought the movie was well done, and I think everyone should go see it even if you don't think you will agree with it but I will talk about that more over on my political blog.
On the way out people were handing out bumper stickers and invitations to an on-line meeting with Michael Moore on Monday.
