I finally had a chance to read Mike Gunderloy's "Coder To Developer".

The book contains an array of tips and suggestions for just about everything related to software development. Mike spends quite a bit of time going over the various tools developers use on a daily basis. In addition, Mike takes the time to explain both commercial and open source alternatives -- which is something I do not remember seeing in many other MS/.NET centric developer books.  The book covers an expanse of general topics, however it is strongly geared towards .NET development (for obvious reasons that worked for me ;)  Coder To Developer was a great read and a definite addition to my must read list for others.
