We (Adesso) are looking for a Mid to Senior Level Windows Software Engineer. Please see the web site with the job code SE and respond to the person there. Please do NOT send me your resume as it will disqualify you immediately for not being able to follow directions. I want to state that this is primarily a C++/MFC position for now (along with all the other Windows based technologies listed). You must have a very good knowledge of C++. If you can't tell me the difference between a copy constructor and an overloaded equals operator, then don't bother. If you can't code a String class with all the important C++ things that make up a good C++ class on the board, don't bother. We are looking for smart people that will immediately contribute along with the highly smart and motivated people we have, I also want to emphasize that this is a C++ position for a short period of time as you will join the next generation .NET team already in progress after 6-9 months. It will be a C#/WinForms/Mobility/.NET position within 6-9 months as that is where we are going on the clients. So you should have C# and .NET knowledge as well.

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing team.  This position is located in our Boston office in Liberty Square. Primary responsibilities include:

·         As part of a team of highly skilled software engineers, design and implement major enhancements to the Adesso Platform.

·         Design, implement and maintain system software components, principally in C/C++.

·         Will further join our Visual Studio .Net development team to create the next generation of Adesso software

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Solid knowledge of software engineering for Windows applications accompanied by broad knowledge in a number of other technical areas (e.g. networking, security, etc.)

·         Strong knowledge and experience in database technologies.  SQL Server and MS Access knowledge is required

·         Very strong knowledge of Windows 2000/Windows XP based development

·         Knowledge of Windows Application Programming is required

·         Strong C/C++ knowledge is required

·         Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio.Net, .Net Compact Framework and C# highly desirable

·         Ability to work exceptionally effectively in a team environment is required

·         At least two years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in systems level software (e.g. operating systems, file systems) or Windows Applications development

·         BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience is required
