Jim Hugunin has just released his IronPython port of the Python scripting language for .NET.

His original plan was to do a little work and then write a short pithy article called 'Why .NET is a terrible platform for dynamic languages' ... the plan changed when IronPython running on the CLR turned out to be up to 1.7x faster than Python-2.3 on the standard pystone benchmark.
