Robb Allen made a nice addition/tweak to Community Server :: Blogs (formerly .Text) which enables comments to be closed after a specific number of days. Future versions of CSB will have this built in, but for now, Robb has made it really simple to add to your own installation. (he also has one of the cooler custom skins I have seen)
