Weblogs.asp.net now includes a minor tweak in comments that enables the blog owner/admin to moderate comments.
For active bloggers, this should be an effective way to control spam from showing up in your blog (unfortunately, it can still be posted).
However, it does slow down conversations.
What would you [the blogger/community member] think about community wide moderation? More specifically, instead of blogger A moderating only blogger A's comments, what about allowing all of the bloggers for a given community to moderate other blogs' comments (well, really only approval of new comments). (or even selected individuals/roles/groups)
This would still give the blog owner (in this case blogger A) the opportunity to override the community and remove a particular comment, but would also allow other community members to keep conversations going.
