I mentioned yesterday that my phone has been provisioned for MapPoint Locator Server.

Here are some screenshots showing a where I currently am.

click on them to get a large version

If you want to know more about what MLS is and how it works, check the marketing website http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/mls or the technical overview at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/mls/mlsov.mspx.

If you want to build MLS functionality into your own applications check the SDK and other developer info at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnanchor/html/anch_mappointloc.asp.

Perhaps one day I will get some time to use MapPoint web services to get maps with my current location displayed in this blog.
