I can’t wait for things like this to become mainstream and I do hope Longhorn will support this even on a domain!

I have been playing with Microsoft Fingerprint Reader lately. I was surprised how extremely convenient it is for storing web site logon credentials and activating them just by showing your finger to the reader. It also allows logging on to Windows with the finger (if the machine has not been joined to a domain), I can't tell you how cool it is seeing that happen live! Especially in a home environment it is highly useful when there are multiple family members using the same machine.

It also locks the current user logon and "fast user switches" to the user that matches the finger shown to the reader. Too bad that it does not work with a domain-joined machine, it would make running as a user a bit more convenient when changing into admin logon would just require fingering the reader.
