Albeit late in the game, MSN is offering up a free blog service called MSN Spaces. Of course, I can see that this will turn into a pay-service if there's enough volume out there to be caught (just like Hotmail). Base service will be free, but things like comments, anti-comment spam filters, banning, registration, etc. will cost you.
