This past week I repaved my entire machine; It has been over a year since I last cleaned house and I also felt it was time to “virtualize” my development approach. I figured I have dirtied my box with too many beta bits lately and I needed to start sandboxing my various dev environments (home, work, mono). Undo disks.... mmmm... I like.
Well, it turned out to be quite a bit of work to reestablish my various environments. From personalizing to virtualizing.. it took some time.. not to forget all the software I needed to download. I tend not to back up or copy my software too often. Why? I really don't know..
Anyway, I started my final download this morning of VS.Net 2005 Beta 1 (Team System) . I always forget how long it takes to download 3.5 gig. As the downloaded was about to complete (99%), I was reading the following blog entry and decided to head over to MSDN subscribers to see if the new Team System bits were available. And of course with my luck the bits were available. Needless to say, I fired up the Microsoft Transfer Manager and started another download....
