In order to start my Python immersion (hey, I'm a few days early), I bought and started reading and using Mark Pilgrim's Dive Into Python. It's got great reviews and more importantly, I needed a no-bullshit, to-the-point introduction. I have no problem learning with the ActiveState's ActivePython (as well as others) to learn as they have more functionality than IronPython. I am starting a new category on the blog as well for those that want to tune into my learnings and explorations here.
