Metablogging via Gizmodo: UTStarcom is releasing a VoIP WiFi handset (F1000) that looks promising.

I am currently using the ZyXEL Prestige 2000W WiFi VoIP handset, which works quite well but is hard to configure and has some OS flaws (like randomly working / not working built-in web server for configuration). As the latest flash OS build is dated August 2004, I am under the impression that ZyXEL might not be working on further updates to this device but rather on a new device altogether...

For sip-service, I am using sip-fon from e-fon.ch which perfectly suits my needs by offering me a sip gateway, a STUN-server, a phone number with my area-code (Zurich, Switzerland) to call me from any phone, voicemail as audio-attachment to email and low connection cost.

Ah, and last but not least, I can highly recommend voip-info.org for info on the topic.
