Howard posts about the Imagine cup. Over here in Sri Lanka we’re planning on
having our local rounds between universities. One lucky team gets to fly to Japan!
If any of you guys in any university in Sri Lanka ping me and I’ll let you know
the details on registering and getting yourself up and running. Microsoft has teamed
up with one of the local PC providers and has setup a lab in Colombo that can be used
by students to test out their applications and get access to devices like SmartPhone,
PocketPCs and the like.
I was poking around the Imagine
Cup site and noticed that they keep track of stats like which countries have the
most Imagine Cup registrations.
It surprises me that Brazil is #1 for Imagine Cup entries right now. India is
second.
It would be nice to see a university from Asia in the top 10 schools registered.
It looks like registration is open until April 2005. Plenty of time until then!
Technical University of Ilmena has 86. I looked up where that uni is... it's
somewhere in the middle of Germany. Interesting...
I want to be part of a global competition. Hmm... what's available to compete
in?
