So when Scott, who I trust a lot on this sort of thing, listed CodeRush instead of Resharper (my #1 tool) on his list of Ultimate VS.NET Add-Ins, I still challenged him on it because of the awesome Refactoring support and more (the comment doesn't seem to be there anymore) and he said “I didn't include Resharper because CodeRush's "Refactor" has one-button refactoring with out dialog boxes or wizards. I can refactor a LOT faster with it. I've tried both Refactor and C# Refactory. “ I swore this off until I ran into my fellow C# Track speaker Mark Miller who just blew me away with his demos and his work. I was gifted with a copy to use in speaking engagements. The thing is, that I have been writing a boatload of C# code for an Adesso deliverable for the last 2-3 months in something I am getting ready to ship and I just replaced Resharper with CodeRush in my every day work. Scott was right all along! My gosh, does this tool rock and make me much more productive! Check out the Flow-Break Evaluation as Scott describes it. I just type “c“ for class and I get one filled in. I love selecting code and hitting one key to embed it in a region, a try-catch block, if-else and many others. The “IntelliSense“ is awesome. The Refactoring support is also easier to use. I'm switched.
