Feed Description: I am a software simplist. I make this beast of architecting, analysing, designing, developing, testing, managing, deploying software systems simple.
This blog is about how I do it.
I talked to Jackie a while ago about presenting at his user group, the IVBUG. We were thinking April, or May, but my schedule just turned itself inside-out, and I'm now down to around 160% load, so I thought it better to do the presentation sooner rather than later. Jackie was gracious enough to accept. Anyway, the talk is going to be about user interfaces, and the changes that have been occuring there, with the increased amounts of data that need to be handled, the problematic connectivity to data sources, as well as the ability to display events happening in real time. The specific focus will be on how to use multi-threading techniques to achieve higher quality user interfaces, as well as what kinds of problems arise, and how to solve them. If you have any suggestions, or not-too-tangential topics you'd also like to see presented, drop me a comment and I'll do my best to work it in. The presentation will be on Wednesday March 2, at 17:30 in the Microsoft Offices in Raanana. I'll put up the official invitation once it gets sent....
