Microsoft today detailed the new product line for Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the next version of its flagship database and analysis product, including information about new functionality and pricing for the expanded product line.

Announced in the lineup is a new Workgroup Edition, which joins the Standard, Enterprise, and Express (MSDE) editions. At the same time, a Workgroup Edition was announced to be available for SQL Server 2000.
