"In a case with implications for the freedom to blog, a San Jose judge tentatively ruled Thursday that Apple Computer can force three online publishers to surrender the names of confidential sources who disclosed information about the company's upcoming products."
In reference to the protection that journalist have from revealing their sources Apple had this to say:
"The company said such protections apply only to "legitimate members of the press.""
Now, I dont think all bloggers are members of the press, but sites like Apple Insider and Power Page are obviously online publications and should share the same level of protection that normal publications enjoy.
(Personally I see blogs as being different than these online news sites, but suddenly anything with content and dates has become a blog)
