Fresh day in LA. I woke up, did some 'net stuff, checked out using the TV, then hit the town. I went straight to Hollywood Blvd to Mann's Chinese Theatre. Saw the hand prints, saw a storm trooper, saw Batman Begins on the very very big screen.. walked up and down the strip to see all the stars on the ground.
Then I decided to head to Santa Monica. This is where I struck it lucky. A Russian taxi driver picked me up and quoted me $45 to get there. Fair enough.. we talked for a bit and then he decided to take me on a short tour through Beverly Hills. Woo! So I got a tour and a taxi ride through the interesting streets right down to 3rd in Santa Monica. It was great. And amazingly, it still only cost me $45. I then walked to Santa Monica beach.. then walked for a good 45 minutes to Venice Beach.. quite a hike.
From there I went to the airport, hit the in-airport bar with a guy named Dave who is in the Marines as a Leuitenant Colonel, then headed to Orlando. 5 hours later less no sleep time.. the new day had begun.
Thus began my zombification. My eyes could not really focus on any thing. I arrived at the Wyndham at 6am.. sorry, can't check in they had a full house last night so all the rooms are still occupied.
9am, sorry, your room is still occupied.
10am, sorry, your room is still occupied.
Bugger it, James and I then head off to Blizzard Beach in Disney World. Georgio had to stay back in the hotel and do some work-work. Poor fellow! He's still working right now. I hope he cane get dinner with us later tonight.
2pm, sorry, your room is still occupied (2nd person: ask cleaning service).. oh, looky there, your room is ready Sir. Wonderful! So I'm finally in my room. I have to resist the urge to just fall asleep. If I can make it for a few more hours I'll have a full nights sleep.
I'm on my fourth wind right now.. not sure how long the energy reserves will last. It's simply -wrong- to have two breakfasts without having first had some sleep between them.
