Via Nick Carr, I see that Google has been playing hardball in its negotiations to build data centers. On the one hand, I understand the desire to get good terms if you have the clout to get them. On the other hand, stuff like this is just asking for a negative PR flood:
Some of North Carolina's elected officials, including legislators, gave in to Google's demand that they sign nondisclosure agreements to keep the company's identity secret.
That's the sort of thing that's virtually certain to boomerang back on both Google, and on the legislators in question. Is Google moving into the "stupid behemoth" category this soon?
