Agility and adaptation go hand-in-hand. But when some organisations talk about agility they only talk about how agile methods need to be adapted to suit how they work.
To take root and deliver results, agility requires a fertile soil to grow in. Therefore, organisations also need to talk about how they will adapt to better accommodate agility and give it an honest chance of working.
Organisations must recognise that, more often than not, both their culture and structure need to change for (uncompromised) agility to be achieved.
