The Code Generation conference in Cambridge, UK, May 18-20, is looking like possibly the best DSM event to date. If you can make it, sign up straight away: the early bird offer of £350 ends today. Mind you, even the full price of £450 is really cheap by UK standards: you can easily pay several times that much for a fraction of the quality and depth on offer here.

Despite the name, the focus of CG2007 is on model-driven development -- the real kind where you generate code. That could be seen from the "industry expert" quotes on the home page (now sadly removed, but found from Google's cache of a cache!):

"Model-Driven approaches are the next evolutionary step in programming technology. With its practical focus, this event gives developers the knowledge to take this step." Andrew Watson, Object Management Group
"Full code generation with Domain-Specific Modeling or Languages is the biggest step forward for our industry since the move from assembler. This event will help you make it happen." Steven Kelly, MetaCase.
"Model-Driven Software Development is an important building block for today's software engineers." Markus Voelter, Independent Coach & Consultant

The program is awesome:

Hope to see you there!
