As Google gets all the buzz, Amazon keeps delivering the cool stuff people need to get an online business started. Between EC2 and S3, they were a long way there. Now, they manage the payment details:
We've taken all that we know about dealing with credit cards, bank accounts, fraud checking and customer service and wrapped it all up into one convenient package.
With the huge level of trust people have in Amazon, I think this is big. If I wanted to roll out a new web business, I'd get myself a root hosting provider, so I could run a Seaside application server. Then I'd have Amazon handle the rest.
