We had a long talk about version control yesterday - long enough that I'm splitting it into three parts. Part 1 is up now, and parts 2 and 3 will come out over the next two weeks. In this segment we covered some background on source control in Smalltalk, including the history of things like Envy.

This was one of the most enjoyable conversations we've had - we hope you like it. I'd like to thank the guys over at "The Stack Trace" - they included a segment from Dave Buck in their "rant" segment last week. We're all big fans of their show, and I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a broader perspective on software development.
