I just heard this afternoon that Dolphin Smalltalk is being discontinued. I understand the problems they face and the reason for their decision. It is, however, a sad day for Smalltalk. I'd like to thank Andy Bower and Blair McGlashan for all their hard work on this product over the years. It's very difficult selling a software development product in today's market especially one that most developers consider unconventional. It's also hard to keep up with rapidly changing environments like .NET.

I wish both Andy and Blair the best of luck with their future endeavors. Stay close to the Smalltalk community, guys. You've made a difference to the Smalltalk world.
