Last week I upgraded Parallels v3.0 to the latest build. For whatever reason I noticed that I could now play Subspace under Parallels where before I couldn't. Puzzled by the sudden new capability - I fired up Civ4 Beyond the Sword to quench my curiosity. To my surprise, it runs!!

You need to turn on DirectX for your VM in Parallels, but if you have the latest patch for Parallels, Civ4 will now run. I had James Robertson confirm it on his MacBookPro as well.

I'm surprised the news hasn't gotten around. I googled today to see if someone had broken the silence - nothing, nada, zip. I've sent an audio announcement to the Polycast and hopefully the news will start to spread.
