The writers are getting their message out via the web - and with some hilarious results. It's a whole new messaging game out there, and studios are behind in it.
Having said that, I notice (via Mathew Ingram) that NBC is picking up a web only show and moving it to the air. This gets at something I've been wondering about: are there enough writers willing to do anything for a gig to give the studios the upper hand? Its not like a sports strike, where the population of truly talented (at the major league level) is limited.
