This silly idea keeps coming back, like a bad penny:

Consumer and corporate use of the Internet could overload the current capacity and lead to brown-outs in two years unless backbone providers invest billions of dollars in new infrastructure, according to a study released Monday.

That's right campers, the tubes are filling up - better stock up on grainy, low res video. I've been hearing this nonsense for years, and yet the bandwidth being delivered keeps going up.

Wake me when the great internet bandwidth scare of 2007 passes...
