If this rumor from Gizmodo holds up, then the music business is about to be riven to the core - and the major labels will wish they hadn't spent the last 5 years trying desperately to push away all their customers:

Looks like there might another major announcement at MacWorld. BGR says they've "confirmed" that Apple is launching a record label with Jay-Z, who's set to step down from Def Jam.

Wow - if that's true, the bozos at the RIAA are going to find out just how far down the bottom is.
