In doing some web surfing last night, I ran across some sad news that I missed back in April 2007. Fred Fish passed away at the age of 54. For people who came from the Amiga world, you'll recognize Fred Fish as the person who accumulated freeware software and distributed it on floppy disks to user groups and bulletin boards around the world. It was an amazingly valuable resource and I'm sure it took a tremendous amount of effort.
In his own way, Fred changed the world. For those Amiga users among us who benefited from his hard word, I say thanks.
