Call me cynical, but when I saw this story about people's laptops being searched and seized at airports, it wasn't terrorism that crossed my mind as the rationale.

Rather, it was how much pressure is the RIAA creating to "stop piracy"? As the EFF notes in part of the article, I wonder whether we'll need to cart around proof that we bought everything on our iPods? Mind you, the RIAA believes that ripping a CD is theft...
