This is good PR - Amazon issued an explanation for the S3 outage last night - go here and scroll all the way down. Compare that with Comcasts's well of silence approach - I still have no idea why there was a day long outage last week, and it's the sort of thing that makes me ponder calling Verizon. How hard would a broadcast email be?

Apparently pretty hard...
