During a conference call today, the topic of code editing came up - the Smalltalk "way" is to use a browser that looks like this (yes, it varies across dialects):

Now what's below is just a copy/paste trick, so don't go thinking I created anything that works - but what if the browser showed multiple methods when you selected multiple methods, and perhaps showed all methods (or all in the current category) when you had no method selected?

I'd be interested in any feedback on this. Mind you, this is just a thought experiment right now.
