Scoble nails one of the things that just drove me nuts with XP (and to hear him talk about it, Vista has not improved things: system sleep/wakeup. It works on the Mac, and doesn't always on Windows:
So, why do I still like my Mac better? One simple little thing: the Mac starts up and shuts down properly every single time.
That's been my experience. I frequently close the shell on my Mac and move it around, without a second thought. My older XP notebook? Sometime about 2 years ago I stopped doing that, because it wouldn't reliably come out of sleep. Why? I have no idea, but if I wanted it to come back right I had to hibernate it.
Which is a huge pain if you're at corporate and just walking downstairs for a meeting. Heck, on an airplane, I can use my Mac a few minutes longer because I know I can just close the shell - with my old Windows box, I had to allocate time to hibernate it.
