This article on Hulu highlights why I think it's a crappy service: the networks feeding it content have no idea how a web based TV service ought to work:
The problem with Hulu really has nothing to do with its design - sleek and easy to use - the problem is the tight stranglehold networks still have over their content. Major networks CBS and Disney (ABC) are not even on board yet and the networks that have joined yank their content down after it's five weeks old.
Gosh forbid I should decide a few weeks into a series that I like it, and try to go back. Nope, they want me to head to BitTorrent (how else should I interpret their idiotic policy?)
And, as I pointed out last time I posted on this, older content is completely hit or miss. I wanted to find a specific Buffy episode; other people might want something else. Chances are, they won't be able to find it, because Hulu sucks.
But don't tell Mark Cuban - he's convinced that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
