I was listening to one of the KunstlerCast episodes while I exercised today - of the three I listened to, there were too many things I chuckled at to list, but the episode on handicapped access set my teeth on edge. My wife has developed Osteo-Arthritis, and the best way to describe Kunstler's attitude towards people with mobility problems is this:
Screw 'em - requiring all that access just makes the things I'd like to see built harder to do, and I'm way, way more important than those handicapped people
My wife's comment: "A pox on his joints". The list of things Kuntsler understands badly is extensive - this particular example just infuriated me. And don't tell me it would be easier for my wife to live within walking distance of stores - it wouldn't be. Carrying extra stuff on foot simply isn't part of the game at this point.
