If Microsoft is serious about buying the result of a merged Yahoo/AOL (should that come to pass), then the shareholders should mount up and head to Redmond now. It's got to be the stupidest idea I've heard in a long, long while. Can you just imagine the culture wars between the open sourcers at Yahoo and the MS stack dogfooders at Microsoft? While you're thinking about, ponder the huge losses in value and direction that will take place while they have those internecine battles.

If this is what passes for leadership at MS, then it's time they found new leaders. Send Ballmer on a permanent vacation.
