This evening we have two Smalltalk oriented BOFs - Seaside just wrapped up, and the Squeak BOF is just getting started. I filmed the Seaside BOF - Michael presented Web Velocity, and James Foster talked up his tutorial tomorrow. After that, we had a wide ranging discussion for about 30 minutes. I'll post the video in two pieces - the demo and Gemstone talk, and then the discussion.
The Squeak BOF has three presentations, but I think the Cincom group is going to be bailing early - dinner is calling :)
Oh, the irony - Dave Ungar is presenting some research work they're doing (IBM) on multi-core Squeak. Why Smalltalk instead of, say, Java? He said Smalltalk is more highly optimized for small environments. Based on how most old-time Smalltalkers think about things, that's funny :)
