Wired reports that Amazon is going to push to get rid of that horrendous plastic "death wrap":

Amazon is aiming to improve its shopping experience by ditching plastic enclosures in favor of easy-to-open, recyclable boxes.

I hate the nearly impossible to open plastic packaging that's on way too many things. Sometimes I've come close to serious lacerations trying to open them. I'm really pleased to see Amazon getting behind this.
