Since I listen to TwIT, I hear a about the Tesla car a lot (Jason Calacanis is a frequent guest). Here's the question I have though: in a place like southern California, where the air temperatures are mild most of the year (and humidity is basically non-existent), you don't need A/C in the car all that often (or heat, for that matter).
That's simply not the case elsewehere. Take where I live, central Maryland. I do without A/C because I drive a 20 year old car, and I put in less than 6000 miles per year. Most of my neighbors commute daily though, and driving any distance in, say, July without A/C here is simply insane. So my question is: what does running A/C full time do to the battery life of a car like the Tesla? I'd guess "nothing good", but I'd love to know.
