Sounds like Apple may have pushed a bit too hard to get their latest iPhone update out - with the mixed reviews the Storm has gotten, it sounds like they should have given it more time to solidify:

Users who have updated to iPhone OS 2.2 are facing some significant issues, including problems with third-party apps, Internet connection issues, problems deleting email and more.

Follow the link for a page full of problems being reported. Personally, I'm still wavering on the whole Storm/iPhone thing. I like Verizon coverage, and if I can get verification on the Storm working with iTunes, that will probably be the final push for me to stay with Verizon...
