Looks like I'm waiting for the iPhone, which I can move to without penalty in February. I tried one the other day, and was not impressed - and now I've just read David Pogue's review, which confirms (and extends) the bad taste I got. Here's the kicker on his review:

How did this thing ever reach the market? Was everyone involved just too terrified to pull the emergency brake on this train?

So it's waiting time...
